Dads Poem by Alexander Brown

Dads

What a perfect day they are so happy, parents so proud.
What a phenomenon the exchanging of vows.
What a smile on their faces, how nervous their hearts,
but lets go back to before the wedding even starts.

They both wake up excited, and unrested.
They both scramble their mind in which is awfully congested.
They both get spiffed up and do their hair.
Talking with friends and family and saying a prayer.

Back to the wedding their friends are all there.
Back to the fancy, the white, the hair.
Back to the roses, the bliss, the love.
One last thank you to the Big Man above.

Finally they walk with their mom and their dad.
Finally, the crowd is crying, they are all so glad.

The two boys look at each other and say
"I'm so proud of our dads."
