Daily Lives Poem by Destiny Newsome

Daily Lives

Imagine:
a perfect family,
perfectly normal,
perfectly flawless'
perfectly beautiful,
perfectly calm.

This, my dearest friend,
is yours, all yours.

Now,
imagine the complete opposite:
a horrifically hellish household.
The only words
to describe
my family.

dream.
nightmare.

castle.
shack.

kitten.
lion.

This is the difference
between our
daily lives.
