Dalit poetry,
The poetry of
The suppressed and oppressed people,
Weaker sections of society,
The poetry of the exploited
And the marginalized,
Isn't it?

Dalit poetry
Of the Dalits,
Of those who were oppressed and suppressed,
Weaker sections of society,
The poetry of the exploited
And the marginalized people
Who failed it to get food, water and clothing,
Who lived it miserably
Under the scarcity of resources.

What to eat,
What to drink,
Where to store food and water,
How to live, engaged their inner scapes and spaces
Of the Dalits
Living poor and miserable lives
So pathetic and painful
To describe it
Poor India and its poor houses
And poor people
Living poorly!
