Damn Birds Poem by Samuel Richard Leonard

Damn Birds

God is so uncourteous to create a creature such as a bird.
I lay here in my final rest unable to close my eyes
because of this relentless noise I wish I'd never heard.
Must you torment me, winged beasts of malice which I despise?
I only want to die in reticence, God; is that so absurd?
Please, now I pray unto you, silence their piercing cries!
Hhhhh, I'll never be able to die like this, I'm sure.
Let my last moments be peaceful before I'm host to budding flies.
Oh? The Sun is going down? I can't believe I endured!
*Hoo* What... what is *Hoo* oh God, why have you cursed my life? ! *Hoo, Hoo*
The least you could do is quiet the feathered,
but ah, I can't wait any longer. I'm coming to you now I guess... jerk.
