Dance With Darkness Everyday Poem by Ryan Lane Winters

Dance With Darkness Everyday

Rating: 5.0

Spinning and twirling the feeling away.
Everything from everyday.
Every pointe and every bend.
As the day comes to an end.
The darkness of night comes to take me.
But I continue and pray for it to leave me be. I beg and fight.
I will not give up tonight!

I spin faster and look towards the stars.
Wishing from help from somewhere afar.
The darkness moves closer and smiles dragging along pain.
The long laces of darkness reach for me but then it rains!
Oh how it rains then I gain!
Lightness flows from the sky.
But the darkness tries and tries.

The Light grows bright and sets the dark ablaze.
An angel comes down and sings a song of praise.
The angel takes my hand and speaks.
I have been in seek.
In seek of you.
I see you hurt and are need of rescue.
Listen to what I have to say!
Listen clearly; obey!

You will face this creature often!
He stopped and tied my hair with a ribbon.
He placed a hand on my shoulder and whispered Dance.
You will find love; a romance.
But fight for what you care about.
The wrong; shut it out.'
And so I did and still do.
And as if on cue....

Spinning and twirling the feeling away.
Just like I will everyday.

An awesome poem Ryan. To some degree it reminds me of an old metal song from Black Sabbath-Into the Void, one of the best metal songs ever. Go play it and enjoy. Keep writing if it helps you. Peace.
