Dancing Alone Poem by Montaha Gasir

Dancing Alone

Souls drifting from every corner.
They wonder in this world as strangers.
My face with a smile but I'm a mourner.
This counterfeit peace is full of dangers.

Make believe friends is what's afforded.
Hoax joy is provided by the outlanders.
A shattered heart is what you're rewarded.
A cloudy mind behind pleasant banders.

Kindness as fake as the golden crown,
Archimedes with eureka, he weighed.
Painted from the outside a clown,
From the inside forever decayed.

Nothing but a fake entourage,
Surrounded by the all and known.
Sentiment is but a hopeless mirage,
For I'm endlessly dancing on my own.
