Dancing In The Dark Poem by Brittney Wilhoit

Dancing In The Dark

Rating: 5.0

Dancing in a dark hallway
The sound of a Jazz band playing in the next room

You holding me so close
That I'm warm even with rolled up sleeves
And the door a few feet away open
Letting in the cold winter air

Our voices going no louder than a whisper
Though no one else is around
I let out an occasional giggle
In response to you sneeking an occasional kiss

I felt as though nothing else mattered
Except for me being with you
I felt the rest of the world dissapear

My mind is almost overloaded with bliss
You and me seems to make more sense
Than anything else I've ever known

The best moments of my life
Were spent swaying with the music
Dancing in the dark
