Dancing On My Heart Poem by Precious Okidika

Dancing On My Heart

Upon my heart she dancedupon
A simple rhythm in simple steps
with the grace and passion of a queen.
from side to side she danced
Like a monkey on its swing
One look at her and my heart too flight
like a bird on its wings
lost for words I stood agape
struck with awe
I dropped like grapes.
Upon my soul she sang her song
'Halleluyah' the orchestra of Zion's voice
it rang in my head like a bell
'Halleluyah' the symphony of its chime
Upon my heart she sang and danced
Awe struck I stand agape
lost in the beauty of her voice
lost in the grace of her dance.
