when angels came down to earth
and drank away the ocean
I forgot to take a moment
and wave the waves goodbye
tangled in my mind
and entwined in peach flesh
I don't rise beyond my world
and truly cherish what is left

so kiss the girl's feet
and give him an extra smile
watch the rain on your window
and don't think for awhile
wash out the tiny mirrors
that stay hidden in your eyes
be calm in isolation
lets the child's soul rise

when the sun explodes tomorrow
catch every single ray
kiss the scorching lightening
and be ready to miss the day
stand willing at attention
and witness the demise
only then you see the beauty
the truth captured by the lies

don't hate the hate the hates you back
and the boys with all their stones
but love the ones that hold your hand
and guide you blindly home
be comfortable with your lonesome heart
for when the angels drink the sea
and the sun is but a splinter
