Dark Glasees Poem by Luz EtchemendiGaray

Dark Glasees

Once again you cover your eyes
with a mask.
You don`t want anyone to see your feelings;
You wish to conceal
even the most pallid desire,
as yet inconsistent.
You want only to display dark lenses,
those that forget,
that depersonanlize
your incurably blue eyes.

Translated by Sue Littleton, Daniel Ginhson and the author.

From the book 'Golden Summer / Verano de oro'.
