Dark Heart Poem by Ibn Ali

Dark Heart

Thoughts plague me
Sitting, steering clear of Satan
They told me I'm the problem
It hurts me that they say this
I see with open eyes
Should foresight be sacrificed
My intuition tolls
This is my resignation
Maybe I was made to be the basin
I wish I were quieter
This prisoner escapes too often
Pearl bars behind pressed flesh doors
Gape too much
These doors were made to lock
This criminal impedes
Failure is falling short of what's in reach
With arms long enough to touch
Lacking the desire to succeed
Leave me and let me be
Leave me and let me alone to breathe
I think the fault is me
This building is condemned
It's not safe to play within these walls
Which makes it impossible to live within
