Sincere Apologies Poem by Ibn Ali

Sincere Apologies

Please forgive me,
If I've ever said to you a hurtful word
Or upset you with something you've heard,
If my actions have caused you to frown,
Your flesh I ate or broke my vow,
If the intent was good but caused offence,
Please know the good was lost,
No harm was meant,
If there was a time when we were close,
Then grew apart,
And I never called to connect the hearts,
If there was a time we agreed to meet and I was late and made you wait,
For all the things I've said or done that you know of and I've forgot,
This one thing from you I need,
Please forgive the bad in me.

Forgiveness is the attribute of feeling and heart. Nice one.
