All the words
Had left my mind
When i discovered those eyes
Eyes of the Dark King
Dark and sharp
Full of mystery and quiet authority
A powerful gaze in cool demeanor
Eyes of black ice
His face handsome and young
Full of youthful expressions of curiosity
Facial expressions that became bright
In contrast to his dark hair and piercing glances
He stood taller then most
The perfect last touch
Stature that elegantly completed his strong presence
Presence of a king
He greeted me with an embrace that surprised
A hug sincere and welcoming, surprisingly gentle
I felt, by his soft gesture, comfort
It was tender comfort the kings arms asked for
His tenderness conflicted my mind and heart
Was this the Dark King they spoke of?
Described as arrogant and selfish
Corrupted by greed
And led by temptation
Shameful lifestyle created by entitlement
They spoke of him as a modern day Dark King
Spoiled and cruel, self absorbed and unappreciative
Unfair with his presence
And irresponsible with his purpose
But when his eyes met mine
I saw no darkness
I felt no wicked intentions
The so called Dark King met my gaze
And i felt no selfish corruption
I saw no deceiving greed
His eyes revealed none of the Dark qualities
I had expected to find in him
He looked at me, all the way into me
The King was seeking an answer
He had somehow been able to become aware
Of my sudden realization
Somehow without use of words
We had managed to communicate with the deepest parts of our beings
So he waited for my answer
He waited for my expected judgement
What had i concluded he wondered
His fate in mid creation
My thoughts, were the creator
But i never intended on judging the Dark King
His eyes wondered of rejection
But i could never reject the sincerity of those eyes
Never had a look, caused my existence to slow
No frightening tyrant did i see here
Just a misunderstood and misjudged lonely king
In that moment, in those eyes that stopped time
I saw a sparkle of hope
Black diamond eyes that smiled
They thanked me for my acceptance
Without a single word
