Dark Matter Poem by Min Zhu

Dark Matter

Rating: 5.0

If each of us is a small planet,
then our beloved ones who passed away is dark matter around us.
I wish to see you again, I know I couldn't see you again.
But your gravitation is still here.
I'm grateful that our light cones once overlapped,
that you changed my orbit forever.
Even I can't see you again,
you are still the reason why my galaxy didn't fall apart,
you are still the eternal component of my universe.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I didn't actually write this. I just edited a bit and translated it from some anonymous person who put itin Chinese. I find it deep and beautiful, so put it in English to memorize my boyfriend, who passed away last month in a car accident. Life is ephemeral, but love is eternal.
