Dark Nights Poem by Hannah Cooper

You left me all alone, curled up in the dark
finding something sharp to make another mark
Trying to cope with feelings i couldn't comprehend
silently choking on tears, wishing i was dead
feeling more alone than i ever was before
I'm swear to you, i cannot do this anymore
you know I will never be my own savior
I'm left bleeding in my own failure
watch the calories go down the drain
because I threw them back up, yet again

I want to believe that things will get better
but i can't,
not now,
not today,
not ever.
