Dark Secrets Poem by Ray Springer

Dark Secrets

Your voice shakey and unsure haunt my thoughts
visions of your smile your worry, your eyes, conversation haults
How did we get here? Are you for real?
Am i just another victim to add to your wall, a prize, a meal
Connections tied in dark secrets all too happy to reveal
Too dark to mention, too cold to warm, vaulted silence, navy seal
24 hours i fight for control, arms raised ready for battle
24 hours i fight to conceal my feelings being bred like cattle
anxious with desire, hoarding fury and contempt
My head will soon expire from this lust induced intent
Maybe i'm just lonely, starving passion filled conversations
But this beast is more than lust growing with powerful gamma radiations
Do i dare deny your lips the sweet taste of first kiss
Should i even question? Am i right to answer
Is this over thinking, Overdoing, overreacting to a simple matter
Questions fill my head as quickly as blood is shed, flying high upon my bed, to places that are seldom visited
Often fed only to be found naked, alone, hurting, DEAD.
