Darkness Comes - Poem by A. V. Asreg

Darkness comes
Don’t worry young one
It will come and embrace you

Darkness comes
Don’t cry little one
When it comes, you won’t feel a thing

Darkness comes
Calm down sweet one
It comes soon and there’s nothing you can do

Darkness comes
Behold dear one
It comes and it comes only for you

Lay down, be still
Close your eyes
Surrender your will
Darkness is at your side

Smile and rejoice
Look good
You have no choice
Darkness will lead your way

You are afraid now
You will learn to love it
You come to trust it
Darkness never fails
