A. V. Asreg Poems

How come we are worlds apart
How come we have lost
happy memories of past
Golden times we’ve tossed
...

Is there something better than a laugh?
A better type of recognition – I think not.
Oh, and to tell a joke that is received with laughter
No, there is nothing better than that
...

We are such a cliché
We are both so contrary
Two poles in different ends
But our love’s pull is so scary
...

Take me to your dream world
where sweet dreams rest
Include me in your fantasy
where we’ll love our best
...

Since you left me
I miss your arms baby
When you held me
I felt safe, but maybe
...

You don’t have to trust me when I say
that you’ll never have someone like me
You don’t have to believe when I say
what we had once don’t come easily
...

Come, when it gets dark.
Come to me softly like a gentle breeze.
Let the wind carry my voice,
swiftly through the dark forest
...

Looking out the window
The view is still the same
Since you let me know
You’re not sure you feel the flame
...

My heart, my young heart
why won’t you blossom?
winter lies within you
ice queen frozen in her kingdom
...

Darkness comes
Don’t worry young one
It will come and embrace you
...

You see me
better than I see myself
How can that be?
...

Hey you, young boy
you are younger, yet I seek your opinion
You take away my joy
You seem stronger, so sure of your dominion
...

It is odd how I can smile
and no one will notice
that I have for awhile
fighting off loneliness
...

Hello, sister loneliness
Here comes cousin sadness
Whish I could get over this
Out of this blackness
...

Drumming rolls,
and spinning souls
and masquerades
on promenades
...

I discovered a secret in your voice
A hidden message
Of a far away place
Showing me a passage
...

Close your eyes
and listen to the world
be still
for this moment will not come again
...

Today I saw a funny thing
a flag that waves the wrong direction
My friend started questioning
but this gave me great satisfaction
...

Execute; to implement and to finish
to kill and to accomplish
what a peculiar word
...

Shouting aloud in my head
Closing their ears
nobody hears
the tune that lead
...

The Best Poem Of A. V. Asreg

Lost Times

How come we are worlds apart
How come we have lost
happy memories of past
Golden times we’ve tossed

How I miss the times we’ve had
Sometimes I see it clear
Childhood pictures in my mind
but fading year by year

Where are you now, my childhood friend
Will I see you soon, will we ever mend
our friendship bond

I found the pictures that we took
Looked so happy then
Young and full of hope and chance
Will we feel that again

Sand ran down the hourglass
faster than I thought
Now I think about the past
Times that I forgot

But will we meet again, my childhood friend
Let’s begin again, can we ever mend
our friendship bond
