Darkness Falls Poem by Janice Harris

Darkness Falls

Rating: 4.0

Darkness falls just before day break
I almost taste the sound of new beginnings
Painful echoes of lost yesterdays
Approaching whistles of tomorrows
Dangling between the fences of the future
Darkness falls just before day break
Smells of the radiant fragrance of new beginnings
Etching pain of the past
Screeching tires rolling into today
Drawing the line of things left behind
