Darkness Within Poem by Chantelle Hession

Darkness Within

Rating: 4.0

As I’m stood at my window
I look and seek for help
My eyes scanning the floor
I feel embarrassed I feel ashamed
What has all this been for!

Light from within
I stepped down into darkness
Open my eyes let me see
When the sun’s shinning down on me
When the worlds all as it should be
On the road marked with suffering
Through there’s pain in the offering

I’m pressed but not crushed
Persecuted not abandoned
Struck down but not destroyed!
I’m blessed beyond the curse for his promise will endure

Through the sorrow may last for the night
His love comes through with the morning light
I feel trapped and scared this pain I cannot bare
I’m screaming from within but none can hear me
I’m a soul drowned out by the crowed

I used to laugh and used to play but now all that has faded away
Where is the girl that I once knew I need her back to complete myself
This world we live in is filled with such hate and judgement
I feel imprisoned and sickened by what I see
If I was to ask only one question
Why did you cheat on me?

Some mis-spelled words but other than that a well thought out poem.
