the jeweler in
istanbul
is an eloquent
salesman
as i see it
the ring is simple
with a few colored
stones
to me it is of
lesser quality than
the diamond
the woman with
curly black hair
and brown skin
wears the ring
and light plays
upon the stones
which makes her
more in love
with such a thing
the man who
stands beside her
pays in exchange
with
such a simple word
uttered,
"darling"
