Dashing adventurer, in one who seeks
After Love have you shared perils, pitfalls.
Edens comely drapped, with the snake riddled;
More quicksands and disease, less waterfalls.
Both driven on in a delirium!
Fiery of gaze, and undeviating.
Windy admonishings, thistles of scorn;
End visions' washed o'er cheer undeflating.
