Daughter Of Africa - Poem by Peter Rhodes

Daughter of Africa
You are walking now
And tread the path
Away from me

Daughter of Africa
You are touching now
While my body is
Away from you

Daughter of Africa
You are moist now
Not knowing the stranger
Who enters you

Daughter of Africa
You sleep now
While my heart
Yearns for you

Daughter of Africa
You are dying now
And you finally remember
Who cried for you.
