Daughter Of Isis Poem by Estrella Eguino

Daughter Of Isis

I am daughter of Isis
I wear no mask
No stains on my body
Or need Avatars

Aroma of romance
Flesh blood of all minds
In regal advance
Among human kind

So much to accomplish
In little to no time
Yet inconsequential
To the space occupied

The exit is near
So close am I
To destroy the fear
I thought I could not

The unforeseen intervention
Will raise some alarm
Before condemnation
I gave Nature its charm,
Its wondrous path
For a just habitat
It was not icy wrath
That brought it to harm

Didn’t know to surrender
Living the eternal high
Not heeding the mind bender
Will matter not one sigh
His ruling
Was to be abided by

It’s a tough rough creation
That has emanated so far
Not knowing the purpose
Of these repeated attacks
Each era more powerful
Than the endless last one

In my defense
My character stands
Underneath the pretense
Of nail-bitten hands

My promise withstood
Ruby red cups of wine
I’m the one you have searched for
Into the end of all time

Today I insist
You’ve known all along
I could not resist
The temptation of life
The vibe now belongs
In this basest of matter
Where the length of the strife
Was wrong and too long

It is something new
And I its main part
Does it travel before me
Or brings us apart?
Is the good of the greater
What’s really behind
The greed filled craters
Afflicting mankind?

I sealed my return
In a passing song
That today comes to be
Witness the throngs
Who have worshipped me

I do not forget
I too will comply
As will the universe
With the coming reply
First row deceivers
Slave class pretenders
Priestesses
Jews and Goths
Surrender

Here is the thrill
Of all that is real
Knowing the deal
Is a flame at the heel
Of all facing together
This wild new unknown

I am daughter of Isis
My time has come
For in the hour of crisis
You wanted me home
