O Shenandoah, Daughter of the stars,
With wonderment you fill our grateful hearts.
Your mountains, streams and valleys testify
To the Creators bounty in our lives.
Your rugged landscape, beauty from the scars
Of Nature; s endless battle of her parts
Evolves eternally.Beneath a sky,
Tinged blue with haze, a fertile land still thrives.
Vast forests stand and shelter beast and man.
The fertile soil yields harvests; fruits and grains
Abundant for our need.Since time began
Your fish and game our nourishment sustains.
Your greatest gift, we lovingly proclaim,
A glimpse of glorious Heaven from whence you came.

Beautiful. Made me feel like I was outdoors amid nature's glories.
