Daunted Poem by Daffodil Decarie

Daunted

Rating: 2.7

Daunted by Monday’s hour
I walk across Zalud Park
Mound to mound, I reckon
Tomorrow’s angry by minutes end.
.
Found a few swings
made one for toddlers
Kids and adults - like me.
I whisper sigh–
.
What a wonderful day, said I
And so I sat, jumpstart, swings a couple
Shadows follow behind.
.
Swinging back and forth
I swing high, swim slow–
Deep sands bury the shadow
That seems to daunt
Tomorrow’s resolute volatility.
