Dawn Of Change Poem by TerryLee Holcomb

Dawn Of Change

by Silvertung69

When I look into your eyes,
and see the pain I've made.
all the years I threw away,
my soul in darkness laid

Fighting back the tears of pain,
I cringe to watch yours fall.
from your face they hit the ground,
I know I've dropped the ball.

Descending down upon my soul,
the blanket folds to seal.
The cold within these darkened walls,
all my senses real.

The thought adjuster sends to me,
love messages of hope.
the dreams I see, in the night,
are teaching me to cope.

As the sun brakes the dawn,
with morning dew just glistening,
upon the roses in the garden,
my higher powers listening.

I hear no voices in my head.
or search the shadows for,
the dead companions that I've lost
and traveled through the door.
