Dawn To Dusk - Poem by Quame Boatmann

From sunset to sundown
From dawn to dusk
Even from the dramas of my night rests
My mind is filled with thoughts, thoughts of you
First like the little woman, in bright colours of Zion
Now refreshed with that of a vestal maiden

I behold little dots of flesh
Lining in conformity at the background,
of a glamorous smooth surface
adding more beauty, to a not sham face

An image like a big scar on my mind
lived with me like the stars afar,
and my hope keeps on renewing
for though I’ll wait for a millennium
I pray milady not take me that far
