Day And Night Poem by Ricky Bingenheimer

Day And Night

Rating: 4.3

As the day grows gray,
The night breaks through.
Then we wonder who
Takes the light from the skies,
Right from in front of our eyes.

Light turns to dark,
Day turns to night,
And then the sun is gone from sight
This is when we begin to fall,
Because we refuse to learn at all,
Of the thoughts and cares we once had to hold.
Before the light went out and we grew cold,
Till light takes back the sky with all that it’s worth,

Then we wonder who
Brings light back to the earth.

A beautiful story, about the sun and the stars. I think in a way, we all bring light back to the earth. Beautiful writing.
