Owned By Two Hearts Poem by Didier Sixte Kahungu

Owned By Two Hearts

Rating: 4.7

At the rhythm of one song
Two voices sing
Two different tunes to a unique heart
Two birds chirp and announce two different outcomes
To one single day

Both have wings
Both announce two different things
One owns the mind
The other has the heart
Both indispensable
Unity not permissible
Body needs both

One is narrow
The other is wide
Youth wants space
Wisdom requires a pearly outcome
That the wide offers not at all
But youth is now
Tomorrow may not be
Unity not permissible
Soul needs one
Body wants both

One is pearly
The other paved with good intentions
One easier to live
The other better to be in
One is hot
The other temperate
Heated is the fight to the temperate
Unity not permissible
Soul and body search for rest
Body leads to Tempest
Love knows best

Quite sentimental, true that love is shared by two different people... always two opposite poles attracts! High marks.
