Daydream Poem by Damon Harper

Daydream

As I sit at here I picture myself someplace else.

I imagine a place warmer, and more brightly lit.

I ingest the smells and the sounds all around me.

Transported in all ways but my shell.

The anyplace but here is much more….serene.

I shed the complex world now exposed and naked.

I'm brought into a much more visceral state of self.

Now, only nothing to do but to expand into the nil.

Oh my daydream, lost now into reality of a ringing phone

My 'Hello? ' echo's with the touch of regret.

Why the double spacing? Makes it hard to evaluate. Read mine - Love's Diamond - Adeline
