Daylight Poem by Natasha Andeyi

Daylight

Rating: 5.0

You raise my heart high, convincing me there's nothing like it alive
The only one that is worthy of your love in return
My eyes are now fixed on you, for I believe you're the one in the kind
I cannot be blind, my sight is fine and my mind is right
I'm the puppet you never had, at least in the human kind
You like being in control and there are times I like to be controlled
I see not what is about to unfold, how can I when my mind is no longer my own
I love you, infatuation or not, I want you to want me too
The hurt I'm about to have is clear in the plain sight
But like some bat, I see best at night
So until the dusk comes, let this so called love be visible in the daylight
