And after

DAYS AFTER-26

Just
A couple of hours amidst friends
Made me young once again
Someone's presence
Brought in me a world of difference
Someone's smile made me smile for a change

Someone's humour brought me to cheer
Someone's concern
Made me think of myself once more
Someone's grace made all the difference
Life started dancing
In clogged arteries and veins

Someone's elegance
Brought back memories of the bygone days
Colours of rainbow danced
Before the mind's eye
Life for a while became
A fountain of never-ending joy

Life travelled in time
Back to the university days
The beauties of the past reincarnated
Captivated my body and mind
With its grandeur unlimited

Someone's body language and gesture
Reminded me of Stalin in his heyday
Someone's love and affection let me realise
Life is not over yet
Still, miles to go and mountains to conquer
Before I close my eyes
