Days Like These Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Days Like These

Days like these
We soak up the sun.
Welcome cool little breezes
Whenever they come.

We seek out the company
Of those we hold dear.
Talk of 'old times, '
That bring on renewed cheer.

We sit and reflect
On the days ahead.
Speak of those who passed;
Now long dead.

'Remember when? '
Is a constant refrain.
Unlock past memories
Stored in our brains.

Laughter is good,
An elixir to our soul.
It brings out the love
That keeps us all sane.

Days like these
I stop and pause.
Look up at the sky
And say, 'Thank you Lord.'

On...days like these.
