Days Spent Dreaming Poem by Nobody Somebody

Days Spent Dreaming

Bedsheets envelop memories,
Of detrimental dire.
Darkness is so appealing!
To hide my open-fire.

I slip into the colours,
My conscience turns to leer
But why the decadence of reality,
When the world is quiet here?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Life is stressful. We all feel like it would be easier just to live in our dreams. This sweet and blissful sounding poem, broken only by a few harsher lines, has the underlying theme of stress and running away from reality.
