Dead Philosophers Poem by Yehualashet Teshome

Dead Philosophers

Rating: 5.0

I am naïve
Because I thought
Wise philosophers, poets
Bright scientists
Saints we revere and pray to
Powerful people
Would show me the way
A method
To slip alive out of life
Intact
Oh, how wrong I am
They die like me
Screaming in pain
Can't beat annihilation
Death proves them helpless
Powerless
