Deadly Secrets Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

Deadly Secrets

They say everyone has a deadly secret
I think you were mine.
The most amazing thing,
was a total waste of time.

It was something I will remember
but will easily forget.
Something I will cherish
but soon will regret.

Your eyes were like fire
yet froze my heart everyday.
With one blink you had my soul
I wish I turned away.

Looking in the past
I cannot explain what I did.
Under your spell
my feelings were hid.

Haunted by dreams and nightmares
screaming in my sleep.
Life is full of deadly secrets.
You were the one I chose to keep.
