Dear D.,

I know you know me
'bout as much as I know you,
but I just wanna stay friends
altogether, through and through.

Do not get me wrong,
I very much like you, too,
but not in the same way -
not like you do.

If only I can tell you
how much I really care,
but dear D., sweet D.,
my heart lies elsewhere.

I just want you to know
that I love you, too,
in hopes we'll stay good friends
together, through and through.
