Dear Little Bro Poem by Alex Sholom

Dear Little Bro

Rating: 5.0

When you were born,

They thought you'd die,

You proved them wrong

You proved yourself strong

You were messed up

But you beat the odds

A little boy like you

And the hell you went through

Yet you pulled through

Too bad it came back

It just snuck up like that

This time too strong

This time all wrong

Now I feel the pain

The emotional pain

It's hard to move on

But it's what you'd want

Now your an angel

So high above

One day we'll both

Be up in that sky

Dedicated to my little bro Daneil.

He battled cancer since the day he was born and beat it. Then it came back and took his life with it..

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My baby bro was born with a popped lung, cancer, and many other terrible things. I was 12 at the time. But he pulled through with no trace of it. He meant the world too me. When I was 14 the cancer came back. I watched him suffer day after day after day. I seen him cry from terrible pain. It killed my heart. Then 7 days after his 2nd birthday he passed away. I watched him die on that bed. All swollen and not even able to make a sound. It had a huge impact on my life. So I wrote this poem hopefully it can comfort someone.
