Dear oh dear
He grew himself a new ear,
After only a few days
To himself he gives all healing praise.
In the ear he was shot
The farm we all thought he had bought,
As he hit the ground
With a big "THUD" sound.
He fell to the ground crying
As if he were dying,
There was blood wiped everywhere
Even in his orange hair.
Then he was helped up and he began to parade
Then for weeks he wore an oversized bandaid,
He then healed really quickly
While not ever feeling sickly.
He now wears a bandage no more
As he screamed as if he were in a war,
His ear it has now healed
Him and his family and supporters are thrilled.
He is still an old fat codger
A very unhealthy, unpatriotic draft dodger,
He is now old and falling apart
He now places more stress on his heart.
In his youth he played many sports
In the field and on the courts,
To a military academy he was sent
Where on the parade field he would represent.
I'm now waiting for someone to explain
As I can't with my own brain,
How can a person at 78 grow a new ear
But, couldn't heal bone spurs in his youth, yesteryear.
