Dear Past Poem by Nina gáspari

Dear Past

Dear Past
I have come to realize
That maybe,
And I do mean it, maybe,
It might have been my fault
For blindly believing it could last
Something that was purely based on laughs
I didn´t take it for granted tho
Just didn´t believe I would ever see it go
Well, dear Past
It´s just the two of us now
You´re past behind me
And I´m somewhere to be found
Caught in between the inside, turned upside down
Dear Past
What if I am wrong?
Perhaps, i´m partially guilty
For giving my all completely
Dear Past
I´ll stop with this whole mea culpa thing
You´re a page that´s been turned, slightly ripped, it´s true
Dear Past
The memories of you somehow still linger
As I look at the ring wrapping my finger
The world is left for me to discover
Taking it day by day, no need to make it fast
Thanx, dear Past.
