Death Poem by Brad Dodson

Death

“Death”

It steals the light from our eyes, the breath from our lungs, and the warmth from our bodies.

It strikes out of nowhere,
Sometimes lightning quick or sometimes slower then molasses in the winter time.

It can come in many different forms, but the end result is always same no matter what form it is.

It's something we all must face no one is exempt. Even Houdini couldn't escape it.

There is no way to prepare for it or the pain and suffering it brings.

To some people it is the end but to others it is the beginning of something new.

Even though it brings sorrow, don't be afraid to face it head first when it comes your time.

It is the one and only exit from this world, we call this ultimate equalizer...DEATH
