Death Poem by Mixo Malepfane

Death

Death

Death has betrayed my trust in life
For i had given everything to life
And death befriended me...
And now I am naked to the world

My mind and thoughts have no pot to stew in
All i do is wonder
And I as my friend why me
I thought we were friends forever

For so long we were happy
And not once did you say
Not once did you show
And yet you were my friend

You could have told me
I would have listened
For you stole my joy and peace
And my pot of wisdom is shattered
