Death Poem by Antonio Williams

Death

Death, oh death!
why would you scare me?
i heard of you, ran and hid.
you took friends of friends,
to far yonder land unseen,
home they rest or cry,
mine friends yo didn't spare,
but now of you i don't scare,
coz you are my way home.
every step i take,
you are drawing closser
you are like a trap i escape
until at last you snap and catch
