Death Calls Me Poem by Allyson Gordon

Death Calls Me

Grieving, weeping, bleeding
For the love I have lost
Begging, crying, dying
As sorrow seeps in like frost

The cold night air
Caressing my face
My spirit set free
Gone without a trace

My heart stops beating
Just for a second
I see the light ahead
As death beckons

Trying to resist the urge
But death is too strong
I let go of the life
I held onto for so long

All I know is gone
I left it all behind
Goodbye cruel world
Heaven I want to find
