Death Is Too Easy Poem by Neo Patricia Monamodi

Death Is Too Easy

Death is easy
Anything you touch can kill
Death is the end
End of my troubles
End of my worries
End of my sorrows
End of pain...

Why not just die and be happy?
In death you feel nothing
No jealousy
No hatred
No confusion
No guilt
No edges for passion…

In death nothing is real
Your greatest fears don’t happen
You don’t see your lover with the other
Nor kissing her
Nor imagine what could have been
Even your scariest thoughts do not scare you
In death you have no guilt to sin…

But I love my life
I’d rather go on feeling the pain
I’d rather live with worries and sorrows
I love the warmth of people around me
I love the beauty of the stars
I love feeling passion and love
I’d rather live, death is too easy
