Today you’ll remember me as a lived,
A time without end,
Or so I believed.
Like you I once sat here, alone with my grief,
Wishing that I’d said something or held some belief
That life did not end and we would go on,
To have many more good times, and so much more fun.
But that isn’t real and you know its true
That today is the end, there’s no more you can do.
While outside the world just continues to rage
For me now its over, I’ve turned the last page.
So go on without me
You’ve nothing to lose
Mourn if you want to,
Cry if you choose.
But when that’s all done and your last tear is shed,
Remember I’m waiting here in your head.
In here, if you need me, just stop and think,
We can meet up tomorrow
And go for that drink.
