Death, The Darkest Light Poem by Rebecca Cox

Death, The Darkest Light

Lurking behind every shadow,
Darkness hides its face.
Fear pumps through every heart, quickening its pace.

Yet, its not someting you should fear,
Its not something you should dread,
Its something you should hold dear,
For life, is but a thread.

Within Fate's loom, things happen for a reason.
Death comes and death goes, just like the changing seasons.
For some, it causes joy, for release from this human skin,
For others it causes great pain and fear, for being left again.

Shrouded by the shadows of fear, not many understand,
That Death is really a release from the Hell of human Earth.
So rejoice, I say!
Not in my death, but my rebirth!

From Earthly Hell, to the highest Heaven,
My soul shall fly away,
To the Lord's everlasting light, where it will always stay.
Basking in the light, of the Lord's amazing grace,
Where I will finally meet, my Savior's warm embrace...
