Death To My Rose Poem by Roxie Young

Death To My Rose

You picked me from the rose bush
Put me in a vase of wate
Nurtured me and loved me
Cared for me and watered me

You picked her from the sunflower fields
Put her in a vase of water
Nurtured her and loved her
Cared for her and watered her

I grew hungry and i gre weak
I couldn't hold my head up high
One by one my petals fell off
Softly falling to the ground
She saw me, and proved her existance
By flaunting her bright yellow petals

And then one day you discovered me gone
And all that remains, in a red cirle around my vase
Were all the small pieces
That was once my heart
