Debt Appeased Poem by Bryan Seyffert

Debt Appeased

Rating: 5.0

On that cross so long ago
Many forget and some don't know
Christ was hung, he bled and died
As he bled, out-loud he cried
Father forgive them they know not what they do
His very last breath thinking of you

Three days later, nothing short of glorious
Christ raised from the dead now reigns victorious
Keys to death seized
Our debt appeased

So much He has done for you and me
And he did it all with one simple plea
Done with love and grace in mind
Knowing one day our fates intertwined
He gave it all to pay our pardon
So please my friend your heart don't harden
